Artist: Akiko Takemoto

Akiko Takemoto is a very rare figure in Japanese bijinga. Many male artists have been, and continue to be, fascinated with feminine beauty enough to dedicate their lives to trying to capture this beauty in their art. Akiko is one of a very small number of female Japanese bijinga artists who are doing the same as they bring a very rare perspective to their chosen craft. Akiko uses modern tools to create a unique contemporary style that represents a brilliant fusion of technology, art and beauty.

Prior to becoming more involved in Bijinga, Akiko worked as a stylist. Her early career as a stylist has proven to be excellent training. Akiko has a wonderful talent for creating bijinga that is all together sexy, classy and fun!

Akiko believes, "There is an inner woman that only a woman can draw." It is this contemporary inner woman of today, a culmination of women throughout the ages, that she tries to capture in her art.

The Bijinga Gallery at Bijinga.com is proud to represent Akiko Takemoto to an English speaking audience!
